St. John’s Pictorial Directory

 

WHAT:           St. John’s has contracted with “Lifetouch” to produce an up-to-date pictorial directory. Photos will be taken this fall and the directory will be available for distribution early 2012.  The plan is to focus on the transition from our old church building to the building and dedication of our new sanctuary.

 

WHEN:            Photographs will be taken on the following dates:

                        Friday, September 30th            2:30 AM – 9:00 PM

                        Saturday, October 1st              9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

                        Tuesday, October 4th               2:30 PM – 9:00 PM

                        Wednesday, October 5th         2:30 PM – 9:00 PM

 

HOW:              You can sign-up for a photo session in one of the following convenient ways:

1.                  Online at St. John’s web site – www.saintjohnsws.org

2.                  After worship services during August and on September 11

3.                  Call one of our scheduling coordinators:

WHERE:           Photos will be taken at the church.  Please arrive on time for your appointment and allow up to 60 minutes for checking in, your portrait session and the selection process.  Props such as musical instruments, hobby items or sports equipment can be brought to the photo session.  Well behaved pets are also welcome.

 

COST:              THERE IS NO COST TO THE CHURCH OR TO YOU for participating.  Each family will receive a complimentary 8X10 portrait & directory just for participating.  Poses will be viewed digitally immediately following the portrait session.  Each individual/family will also be given an opportunity to purchase additional photos but there is absolutely NO obligation.  You will be able to design your own packages with a discount of up to 30% off.  Also, if you schedule online and include your e-mail address, you will receive a coupon for $10.00 off any purchase.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

 

1.      Did you know that your TV screen is made up of thousands of little images called pixels (picture element)?  Each pixel is a sample of an original image.  The quality of the picture depends on how many pixels are displayed.  St. John’s will receive, free of charge, a 27”X 36” Montage (a picture comprised of 1 inch square photos made from the individual photo sessions.)  This will be framed and hung in our new building.  What a great way to have everyone included in our building project.  And, just like a TV screen, the more people photographed, the better the montage quality.

 

2.      Special arrangements can be made for college students or others who will not be available for the above listed photo sessions.  An appointment can be made at another local church having photo sessions.  The scheduling coordinators listed above can assist with this process.

 

3.      For our associate members living outside Western New York photos may be taken at a church near you.  You can make arrangements by calling 1-888-313-1746 and finding where “Lifetouch” is taking pictures in your community.  You must include St. John’s ID number, 148895, both when scheduling and at the photo session.   Please plan to have your portraits taken between early September and October 20th.

 

4.      We will also be given a “Military” page.  Any members or affiliates simply need to submit a copy (digital if possible) of their military photo.
