We thank everyone who generously contributed items for the homeless back in June. It's amazing to see the gratitude that they have for what we do provide. However, the need doesn't end. Once again we are going to go downtown on the fifth Tuesday of September (that is, the 29th) to provide a meal and personal hygiene items.
There is a great need for the following items for us to take there. If you can, please place whatever you have in the collection tote located in the Parish Hall.

Socks Dental Floss
Bar soap Mouthwash
Shaving Cream
Pope Francis is quoted as saying, "You pray for the hungry. Then you feed them. That's how prayer works." That is what we are doing. Thank you for being a part of it.
Once again, the collection tote will be located just inside the door to the Parish Hall.
Volunteers needed for Burchfest 2026!
Burchfest is back, and we need your help to make it a success.
On October 3, 2026, St. John's will welcome hundreds of shoppers, artisans, and vendors for our annual Burchfest--Fall Into The Arts! This community-wide event is only possible because of our amazing volunteers.
We're looking for individuals, families, youth (counts towards community service!) and friends to help with tasks such as:
Friday afternoon, set up tables
Label vendor spaces
Vendor set-up and check-in
Welcome and information table
Hospitality for vendors
General event support
Garbage pick up
Security
Clean-up at the end of the day
Whether you can volunteer for a couple of hours or the entire event, your time and talents will make a meaningful difference. Burchfest runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers are needed on the day of the event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

St. John's will be hosting a table at Burchfest. This table will consist of garage sale type items to sell. If you have anything you would like to donate, we are accepting items.

Any donations can beplaced on the bench in the school hall. Anything not sold at Burchfest will be donated towards the Penny Sale on October 15th.

The Knitting Ministry has rebranded themselves to The Handmade & Heartfelt Crew. Do you knit, crochet, sew, or make fleece blankets? We create items for distribution for those in need of prayer shawls, hats, scarves, mittens, or blankets. Please come join us for an evening of creating and socializing. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays (weather permitting) year round. Our next meeting is April 6th at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. No experience necessary.
God gave us all special talents. As a thank you, it's up to you to use those talents in His church. There are many opportunities here at St. John's, and it doesn't have to be complicated or overly time consuming. It could be helping with altar guild, folding bulletins, ushering, reading lessons, church maintenance, Burrito Project, etc. What are your talents? Make 2025 the year you use your talents to God's glory! Contact the church office to sign up!
The Prayer Labyrinth Walk is held on the second Wednesday of every month, year-round, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Prayer Labyrinth is in the Parish Hall. Each hour, there are 15 minute segments, with 3 slots available during each 15-minute segment, so that up to 3 people can walk the labyrinth at a time. People should sign up on the sheet on the counter in the lobby ahead of time, to accommodate everyone who would like to take part.
Prayer Labyrinths have been used for thousands of years by many religions and Christian denominations as a spiritual, meditative, and prayer tool.

Pastor leads a Bible study the first 3 Thiursdays of every month, starting at 6 p.m. It is held in the Fellowship Room.
The Band leads the music at the 9 a.m. Sunday services. Rehearsals once a month on the first Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Adult Choir leads the music at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday services. Rehearsals once a week on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
The Youth Choir sings at the Christmas Eve and Easter services, as well as at special services. Rehearsals announced when needed.
