A huge shoutout and thank you to all of our volunteers at Burchfest '25!
Your hard work, dedication, and positive energy made the event run smoothly and successfully! The list of individuals is long!
Thank you to the property crew: Russ, Rick, and Ron! The property crew prepped our property but also finished tear down during the week. Thank you to Connie, Mary, Nancy, and Jodie from directing vendors to spaces, to answering questions, to being the enthusiastic face of St. John's to the public! Thank you to our volunteers Natalie, Xander, Jack, Lily, and Gia! These students from the West Seneca community spent the whole day with us and directed people to spaces, picked up garbage, cleaned up the grounds, and helped tear down!
Lastly, thank you to the congregation (past and present) for supporting Burchfest Craft and Vendor Show! We saw you! We appreciate you and we loved visiting with you!
This event could not have happened without each and every one of you!
Blessings, Kathy M

Our next trek to feed and care for the homeless in downtown will be on Tuesday, September 30th. To prepare for it, we need to replenish our supplies. If you are able to help, please do. Sadly, we have recently lost two people that were very generous to the Burrito Project. That loss will be felt. Whatever you can do to provide aid is very much appreciated by the homeless people we serve. The greatest needs are for these items:
ChapStick, Toothpaste, Hand wipes, Shampoo, Ponchos, Ladies underwear, Sanitary pads/tampons
There will be a collection box in the foyer to receive your donations. Thank you!
God gave us all special talents. As a thank you, it's up to you to use those talents in His church. There are many opportunities here at St. John's, and it doesn't have to be complicated or overly time consuming. It could be helping with altar guild, folding bulletins, ushering, reading lessons, church maintenance, Burrito Project, etc. What are your talents? Make 2025 the year you use your talents to God's glory! Contact the church office to sign up!
The Prayer Labyrinth Walk is held on the second Wednesday of every month, year-round, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Prayer Labyrinth is in the Parish Hall. Each hour, there are 15 minute segments, with 3 slots available during each 15-minute segment, so that up to 3 people can walk the labyrinth at a time. People should sign up on the sheet on the counter in the lobby ahead of time, to accommodate everyone who would like to take part.
Prayer Labyrinths have been used for thousands of years by many religions and Christian denominations as a spiritual, meditative, and prayer tool.
If anyone has a question, please send an email to this address: prayerlabyrinth@gmail.com.
